We are already in 2023 and we live in a digital era, which has brought many benefits not only to those of us who work in the world of photography; but also to anyone who has a cellphone in their hand. We can capture images of anything and at any time. We can take photos of our family and friends, which means that those precious memories will be with us forever.

But let’s think for a moment: all those photos on your phone. When was the last time you printed them?

I’m guilty of not having printed any of my photos in the last few years. That’s absolutely incredible, especially since I’m a photographer. But you know the saying «The cobbler’s children have no shoes».

I have many beautiful photos from my travels, but all stored on a hard drive. I know how important it is to have a printed memory at home, that’s why all the collections I offer to my clients include printed photos in different sizes, in addition to digital images. These can be printed on glossy or matte paper, but my recommendation always goes for the second option, as photographs are much better appreciated.

But why should we print our photos?

1. Computers die, hard drives fail, but paper doesn’t

It’s heartbreaking when someone’s computer or hard drive fails and they realize they’ve lost everything. That’s one of my biggest fears, but there’s a simple solution: print. Print all your favorite images, your most cherished moments, so that if something happens, you have a tangible version of your memories.

2. How often do you look at old photos on your phone or computer?

Almost never…right?…Me too! You can have small albums in your living room so you can see the photos more often.

3. You can use your photos to decorate your home:
