When thinking about a maternity photo shoot, the typical white clothing that is used in most sessions comes to mind. when expectant mothers find out they’re pregnant, they can’t wait for their belly to grow so they can have a maternity photoshoot and make a beautiful memory of that wonderful stage

I want to give you some ideas so that the typical white clothing is an option, but not the only one in your maternity photos.
I want your session to be different, creative, and unforgettable. And that this whole experience leaves you with the most beautiful memory.
Don’t hesitate to use pastel colors, textures, and accessories to make it more fun and to your taste. You can bring two to three changes of clothes to your session to have more variety.
Likewise, when you book your session with me, I will provide you with advice and examples so that you have a clear idea of how to combine colors and clothing designs with your partner.

There are many options for new trends, and the best part is that you don’t need to spend money on them. You can always find an off-shoulder blouse, clothes in soft colors like pale pink or blue, or even a lace piece in your wardrobe.
Another important point to consider is the makeup, which should match your outfit. It’s recommended to keep it light since maternity photos should be as natural as possible, so a soft makeup look is advisable.
Here are 9 options that will help you make a better decision on this topic…
#1 Long dresses
Actually, one of these is not missing from your closet, the ones you used to wear before having the baby bump. You can give it a subtle touch with a belt, which will also accentuate your baby bump.
#2 a chiffon kimono
This is an almost essential piece in a maternity session

#3 Vestido sin hombros o top
They are essential for the session as they are the best to showcase your baby bump. They can be in bright or black colors and even have some designs.

#4 Denim
It’s very likely that you have a denim blouse that doesn’t fit you now that you’re pregnant, you can combine it with a top underneath or a dress.

#5 Don’t forget the accesories
Hats, boots, or denim pieces make your look fresher and more fun

#6 Pattern designs
You can wear this type of dress with stripes or polka dots, preferably in a neutral color. You can add some other accessory like a necklace.

#7 Printed dresses
Dresses with prints, such as floral or vintage patterns, give a very elegant and modern touch to your look.

#8 Denim again!
One of my favorite garments for a maternity photoshoot is the denim jacket. If you combine it with a dress underneath in cream or pale pink colors… you nailed it!!!

#9 beach day look
If you’re thinking about doing the photoshoot by the beach and on the sand, there’s no better outfit than a loose top and pants. Here it’s much easier to select your wardrobe.

There are many more clothing options for your pregnancy photoshoot, these are some of the basics that I consider and that in the time that I have been doing sessions for expectant mothers, are the ones that have had the most sympathy.
Which one is your favorite? … share with me your thoughs!
